    Playing offline


    Why am I unable to play the xbox one offline? Sunset overdrive is a game that can be played offline but keeps asking me to pick my player and wont allow me to select my profile offline. Xbox support line couldnt help. Not sure why they are even there.
    Can anyone here help?

    Offline playing

    i bought need for speed rivals (by download), when i want to play the game on my xbox one offline, i get the message that i need to check if i own the game. I am getting the message on the same console i bought the game with... in fact i need to be online
    to play the game i just bought from xbox live. All system updates on the xbox one are downloaded. The same problem accures when kinect is connected and disconnected...

    Its not possible for me to download it again, because i have to pay for every MB i download.

    ps: when my console is connected to the internet, the game works fine. But when i disconnect from the internett the game will not play at all. i am getting the same message every time (check if you own the game at xbox live store)

    i cant for the life of me figure out why i cant play the game offline when i just downloaded the game from xbox live. Anybody have a solution for this problem, please answer....

    Thank you for the suggestion, Feared. I had been both going Offline and disconnecting from the Network so I tried going Offline but leaving the Network connected, but I get the same message. It says, "When this Xbox isn't connected we can't sign you in.
    This can happen if you don't save your password. Check your network connection, then sign in."

    Playing offline

    Same thing just happened to me trying to play master chief collection. Microsoft, when did you decide that you must have internet connection to play offline? I have paid for a game and system that are useless when your I.T. takes a nap. Online 4 offline,
    real genius who thought of that.

    The Xbox One requires you be connected to the Xbox Live Service for most Games and Applications. Because your game is trying to use this method to create your save, and fails, you cannot move forward in the game.

    The Xbox One is virtually useless when not connected to the Live service, unless you need a big paper weight or a bookend.

    Settings - Network - Go offline. That puts the console into offline mode, then you can sign in and play your games. If you don't do that, then as far as games are concerned, you're connected to Live, so of course when Live is down then things don't work
    as intended.

    To go back online you just go back into Settings - Network and choose "Go online".

    Per quanto riguarda l'utente è una impostazione di sicurezza che puoi modificare scegliendo per quali operazioni deve essere sempre richiesta la password e per quali no.

    Nel menu impostazioni della console, seleziona account -> Accesso, sicurezza e passkey -> Modifica preferenze per l'accesso e la sicurezza e scegli le impostazioni in base alle tue preferenze.

    Hey rippen, Updated all my games last night and switched on Pstar golf, Got a free canyon course and all was unlocked again.

    I'm going for Platinum on Dark souls, this is the only reason I haven't been on XB1 except for Titanfall. Just mentioning this as my activities are blank.

    There's 2 reasons why I think this isn't working for the OP (and could potentially be both):

    1) Any GwG games you have must be played online because XBL needs to recognize that you "own" the game and/or a Gold subscription (a limitation of the GwG promotion).

    2) Powerstar Golf recently reverted to a free-to-play model; due to this change, the game may have also been turned into an online-only game as well.

    Yeah it's really quite weird Rippen, In all honesty I can just go online and play. I just didn't want to wait for the update and was downloading allot of "stuff" on my pc and other consoles. But it really got me thinking about countries with worse internet
    then here and limited download space. Just wanted a quick Powerstar bash

    I think you have to physically pull the Ethernet cable( if thats how you are connected) to get it to revert to local saves,even if you select offline. Haven't tried myself. Been connected since launch. i should experiment and see.
