  1. Playing music on my Windows phone.

Hi, I have now uploaded my music to Onderdrive music, but I still can't see it on my Windows phone. I am running 8.1 and I have agreed to all terms and conditions that I can see. On my phone, I have 'Sync with my online collection' one and it has synced,
but I can't see what it is syncing with? Getting my music onto my phone really shouldn't be this difficult.

    :)

Xbox music not playing on Windows 8 Phone

I have the Windows Surface Pro and Nokia Windows 8 phone. The music on my Xbox music library is able to be viewed on the phone, and it is able to be played...however no sounds comes out even though the playback shows the song to be playing. The audio on
my phone works on every other audio app.

Xbox Music Pass + Windows Phone 8 (phone) / Windows 7 (desktop)

    Hello all,

I have an HTC 8x Windows Phone 8 device and am using Windows 7 on my desktop PC. I am a subscriber to the Xbox Music Pass and am curious as to how I should be setting up my desktop environment to communicate back and forth with my phone?

When I had the Zune Music Pass, my Windows Phone 7 device (Samsung Focus) was seen by my Zune Software desktop client and syncing was a breeze. Now when I boot up Zune on my desktop Windows 7 PC, my new HTC 8x does not show up, even though when I go to manage
my devices on the Xbox Music account website, my device is clearly displayed there.

Zune desktop does not see my phone at all, neither in the connected devices, or in the known devices. It says to sync something from Zune to my phone for it to recognize it, but when I download music through the Zune desktop client, then open the "Windows
Phone - App Preview" application on my Windows 7 PC and sync that music, my phone cannot play it. My phone complains (probably due to the DRM) and doesn't play the song.

So long story short... how in the heck does someone on Windows 7 manage their music on a Windows Phone 8 device? I had no problem when I had a Windows Phone 7 device talking to my Zune desktop client on Windows 7.

"Save to my pc" option in Windows Phone 8 Synchronization App - doesn't work

Looks like "Save to my PC" does work. Viewed my Music library through the desktop and the downloaded music is there. When I click on the file the Xbox Music app launches but I get an error "Can't play file - error code 0xc1010091. So my problem isn't
that "Save to my PC" doesn't work - my problem is that the content downloaded to my phone from the Xbox Music store doesn't show up on my computer when I synch it with the Windows Phone App for Windows 8 or if I copy it over using the desktop.

Moving playlists to my Windows Phone 8

Take a look at this Microsoft support article:

    support.microsoft.com/.../2784105

"If your playlists contain songs from your computer's personal music collection, create the playlist in the Zune software or create the playlist in Windows Media Player and use the Windows Phone app for desktop to sync the playlist to your phone."

"If your playlists contain Xbox Music songs, get an Xbox Music Pass to play these on your phone."

So if you are like me and don't use the Microsoft music pass:

    1. Don't use the Windows 8, metro Windows Phone App

    2. Don't use XMBOX Music App

    3. Install Windows Phone App for Desktop

I already had synched with the metro Windows Phone app from my Windows 8 laptop, so I:

    1. Wiped my phone (settings, about, reset phone), keep in mind this will wipe all data, so if you have anything you need on it then back it up first

    2. Went through setup steps on my phone, but did not connect it to my computer

    3. Removed the Music metro app (XBOX Music) and metro Windows Phone app

    4. Downloaded and Installed the Windows Phone App for desktop

    5. Recreated playlists I had deleted in trying to fix this issue by using my zune software and auto playlists, then closed the Zune software.

    6. Plugged in my phone to my computer

    7. Launched Windows Phone app for desktop

    8. Selected the music and playlists I wanted and clicked synch button

    9. Now my playlists are on my phone, but have no songs

    10. I clicked sync again and I noticed it still said I had 6 songs to sync, I clicked again a couple times and got down to 3 songs and an error popped up that these 3 songs couldn't be synced.

    11. I closed the windows phone app

    12. I moved the 3 songs out of my music library to another location ( I used downloads)

    13. I opened the WP 8 desktop app and synched again. Now it said synching my playlists at the bottom

I now have all my playlists populated. It must be the last thing that is synched and the error on the 3 songs prevented it from ever getting to it.

Can't connect windows phone 7 device to xbox music pass

    Hello Jogador,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Xbox Music pass, and Xbox Music are not available on Windows Phone 7 devices. Xbox Music is available on Windows 8, Windows RT tablets, Windows Phone 8, and the Xbox 360 console.

I hope that this information helps.

Xbox Music Pass + Windows Phone 8 (phone) / Windows 7 (desktop)

No, this didn't work. I am at my wits end with Windows 8 and Windows 8 Phone. On top of it, Microsoft now splits the Zune application into two applications: One to put music on your phone (even though it won't play there) and one to manage your library.
I would deal with this annoyance if I could just download and listen to music. After years and years of hating Apple and supporting Microsoft, I am considering a switch. I cannot listen to many songs on my Windows Phone. I can't even download new things
into Xbox Music on my Windows 8 system. I can't do anything. I know Microsoft couldn't care less about one individual user, but this totally rots.
