Playing Music / Media Files in the Background While Gaming! BIG ISSUE!!!!!

Hello to all Gamer's and Staff members of Microsoft. I would like to point out the issue with music and other media being played while playing games. For some games its okay but, for other fast paced games its very difficult. Music / media should be able
to be played in the background. It should not be snapped at all times. I love listening to my music, but now its a hassle to play some of my games. please reply to this issue and maybe update the system so we play our music from the internet and or other media
devices such as CD's, USB's, Ipod and other devices and make sure its usable in the background and not snapped on the side!!!!

Xbox ONE UI Suggestions, Navigation at present state causes frustration.

One thing I also forgot to mention is removing the ability for us to listen to music on the device while playing games, this was one of the features I used the most on my Xbox 360, for a Console which had more focus on the aspect of being a MEDIA CENTRE
more then a Gaming Console the inability to stream or play music while playing a game, or access Network Fileshares to watch and view Videos/Pictures/Music is a big kick in the guts for me also.

 

You obviously don't come to the forums very often. Many of us have asked for this since the console released, they know we want it, unfortunately it's just a case of waiting now to see if they actually do it.

 

Well this should be one of the many things they should have thought about before launching the console.. I think Microsoft got a little lazy when making the OS and didn't config everything correctly. This process was available on the Xbox360 and was a used
on a daily bases by many people, especially me. This needs to be fixed asap because i have to have multiple headphones on just to listen to my music without making my picture smaller.

I miss having movies play in the background while playing my games...I remember reading somewhere that win 10 unification (coming this Fall?) will take care of this issue? PS- this feature wasn't there from day one on the 360, it came later

 

what a horrible feature... unless you are playing a driving game, why would you want to listen to music whilst playing? What a stupid way of distracting yourself from what is going on... (imo of course)

 

Never seen the attraction myself and really cant see the point of having a movie playing while playing a game, but horses for courses and all that malarkey...

 

Some games you dont need the sound (driving games, sports games, fighting games, puzzle games) so the ability to play music whilst doing these would be a good one. Its a shame the 'competition' got spotify first. It works really well on there, im sure once
it comes to the one you wont need to have it snapped. *fingers crossed*
