playing minecraft with friend who is on another device

Me and my friend are trying to play Minecraft together, I am on an xbox one and she is on an iPhone. We have already friended each other on the xbox app, when she tries to send me an invite to her world, it says I can't join because of how my Microsoft account is set up. When I send her an invite, she doesn't even see it. And we tried to join each other while they were playing but it doesn't work.

I am a Minecraft player myself but when it comes to playing it cross-platform, I'd recommend doing it through a
Minecraft realm.

I've had friends that own different consoles or devices when playing Minecraft. A friend of mine that played through another console was able to invite me to their realm and everything ran perfectly. A Minecraft realm was the option for me!

Me and a bunch of friends have made a minecraft world that we all enjoy olaying on, however the person who made the workd is extremely inconsistant when it comes to playing on the world. Is there a way I can get a copy of the world or transfer the
world to my own xbox? I want to create a realm with it. Thanks for the help.
