My son cant play his games offline. Why is this.

How can i fix the problem

Hi there,

if the xbox live profile is present on the console you should be able to sign in to that profile while being disconnected from xbox live.

When the license for the content is present on the console itself you should be able to start the game with your profile.

If for some reason something needs to be updated or if the licenses arent present on the console you will need xbox live to start the game. In that case i'm afraid you won't be able to go around this until you get internet

Playing games offline?

I recently moved into a new apartment and I don't have internet at the moment. I have an xbox 360 with an xbox live gold subscription. Because I don't have internet, I obviously can't sign in to my profile. I'm trying to play GTAV and it is telling me
that I need to sign in before I can load a previously saved game. Any way around this until I get internet? Thanks in advance.

Hi there!

Is this on an Xbox one? If so to use your Xbox One without being prompted to connect to Xbox Live, set console as the Home Xbox.

The My home Xbox setting allows you to do the following:

Share games and downloadable content purchased from Microsoft Store with anyone else who signs in on your console. You can even share games downloaded as part of a subscription.

Share your Xbox Live Gold subscription with anyone else who signs in on your console.

You'll need to ensure that your console is set as your home Xbox before
you go offline. To learn more, see Using Xbox One offline.

How to designate an Xbox One console as your home Xbox.

Note: You can designate only one console as your home Xbox.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select System > Settings > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

Review the information, and then do one of the following:

Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox

His games is too broad, be more spesific about what games he cant play not all games can be played offline...ok

The first access to the console requires an internet connection, which you can also ask to do in the store where you made the purchase. After the first connection and log in, to play off-line games,
you need to keep the console "OFFLINE" from the Network Settings, which you can find by going to Settings, Network.

Double check and make sure you have it set as your home xbox under personalisation tab

I am having trouble playing games offline that do not require internet. Keeps telling me I have to sign in. I have not been able to play a single game offline since I bought the console. Was wondering if you had to have x-live to play every
game.

there is a service outage that might be causing this, you can keep updated through the

Xbox Live Status page or the Xbox Support Twitter page as well.
