Playing games from one account to another.

I have an xbox 360 with my, and my sons account on it. I downloaded Dark Souls which he got thru free games with gold some time back. I however cannot access for some reason on my account when I try and play. Did they change the DRM on these or is there
another problem as I used to be able to access anything from his account on mine such as Dungeon Siege 3.

If he's signing out of his account and still able to play then I assume he's playing on your account or another one on the system. I don't think any games can be played if no account is signed in.

If that's the case maybe a pin on your account would keep him from being able to sign into another one and continuing?

nope, but i would contact microsoft to try to fix the account

 

You must have your Xbox 360 console set as the home system under console settings, and must have account sharing on. You can also File Transfer the games to the same accounts associated with the 360 used while having an Xbox Live Gold Membership active,
Otherwise you need both accounts active to access each game with other accounts affiliated within the Console. This will also be the same with the Xbox One if you upgrade in the future as well! I hope this information was helpful, have a wonderful experience

The Home setting is only available on the One and it is not possible to file transfer the games between the accounts.

Have you switched consoles since you originally downloaded Dark Souls?

 

I am thinking it has something to do with the problems they are having right now with profiles and downloads on the 360. It is not a file transfer or license transfer, as this is the same Xbox it was on before. I should be able to play, and so should anyone
else with a profile on the Xbox, be able to play the game downloaded thru his profile as the license is transferred to the Xbox 360, not the account like it is on the Xbox 1. I have done this in the past with other games. I just have not played on the 360
in a long time and cleaned a lot off of it when I stopped, such as Dark Souls, as I was playing the Xbox 1 I just got over the last Christmas holiday season and playing on the PC.
