I think everyone does play to win but I think I don't mind losing as much as other people.

I play chess or box to win. Video games are just mind numbing entertainment; I've actually had more fun on the losing team of a game like C.O.D. or Titanfall, then being M.V.P. and slaughtering the opposition. Feeling a "need" to win a video game would
make it feel too much like a job, and I already have one of those.

I play for fun though I'm sometimes competitive it's generally only for fun. The expression "losing" or "coming last isn't fun" isn't always true. I've played Halo 4 multiplayer playlists like Big Team, Flood, and Heavies, and even if our team loses, you
still get fun out of the game. That's why game developers like COD and Halo and others make games for and they rewards all skill levels from the moment you get your first kill using game equipment which works in your favour, and meeting others. I watched this
why COD and Halo make games for noobs by an Australian girl Youtuber who I'm subscribed to.

"catering to noobs seems to be the thing they're catering to. I sometimes think, gds find the lowest common denominator required, and assume that's the kind of person who will buy their product, then they seem to style their multiplayer experience around
that kind of player, make them feel as powerful as possible. And there's merit to that. Games are still selling records. Millions of people are getting out there to play Halo and COD. So you can't fault the formula, it's actually working for them".

Both. Nobody plays to lose although I'll ocasionally let my older brother win in Forza. I dont mind coming last as long as the people i play with are good sports. If i win and happen to notice a weakness in the strategy being used by an opponent I'll point
it out so they can improve their game as others have done the same for me. Its a good way to make friends too. The one thing I can not stand is a bad winner. You know the kind who has to throw out insults and sarcastic remarks after winning. They take the
fun out. I'm not talking about trash talk between friends but strangers who just want to be rude. So yea I play for fun and I like to win but losing is OK if you have a good time with your friends. I never cheat to win and always try to be clean and fair.
Im not perfect though and accidents happen. Sorry for writing a book here but my thoughts got away from me

I hate losing, so you would think I play to win - which I do, but if I lose a game I really don't mind. I like to learn from my mistakes, "Winning is teaching, losing is learning".

I can attest to Night's CoD description. Although I can get somewhat competitive in that series (I like to use real-life soldier tactics for teamwork purposes), I find that most of the time, I still remember that it's a game and can hold back. Some of the
friends I've had in the past, however, have had the "I'm only happy if I win" mentality, which IMO is not healthy. One in particular was never happy, even when we won. He didn't just want to win - he wanted to crush the opposition and would cry havoc whenever
he didn't. Needless to say, we're no longer friends, because I got too tired hearing about all of the negativity that spewed from his mouth despite us winning.
