Transfer files from pc to xbox

Well I tried using the flash drive. Below are the steps that I followed to transfer games through flash drive:

    1. Downloaded the iso file of the game from torrent site.
    2. Used ISO2GOD to transfer the game from computer hard drive to flash drive.
    3. Plugged the USB in Xbox.
    4. When I try to browse the USB, it doesn't show anything to browse USB, only two options are available on Xbox, 1. configure USB storage for Xbox 360, 2. Customize.

When flash drive didn't worked I tried the FTP. As per online forums I followed every single step very closely with firewall and internet security disabled but FTP Client fails to connect to Xbox IP.

Do I have to crack/hack/mod my Xbox in order to transfer games and play on it???

Please tell me this is a sick joke

You need a 16 gb USB flash drive. It MUST have sufficient read speed 15mb/s

"This initial install will require an Xbox 360 Hard Drive or an external 16GB USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space. If using a USB flash drive it must be at least USB 2.0 with a minimum 15mb/s read speed and formatted for Xbox 360 use. A new USB flash drive is recommended to ensure optimum performance. "

    Good Luck

Microsoft is continuously updating the XB1 experience. They just updated the console to support USB Keyboards and next month will be enhancing social features. To say that it is all about the money is way off. If that was really the case why would they
enable USB keyboards? Wouldn't they just make a peripheral that you have to buy from them? I am sure within the next year we will see support for flash drives/hard drives via USB.

  6. Currently, you can stream most content playable from your PC (W7/W8), to your console, using Windows media player. I believe it was mentioned that they would be adding external drive support in a future update, but I don't have any more information on that.

How can you stream from Windows 7?! I could only find an article saying there was a way to do it using Windows 8.1.

You need to have Windows Media Player installed and make sure that the file you want to stream is set to "Open with" WMP. Then, right-click the file in windows explorer and hit 'Play To' and select your console's name.

If it doesn't work at first, make sure the Xbox Video app is open ("Xbox Go to Xbox Video") and then try again.

Cool, thanks I'll have to try it out. Pretty counter-intuitive for a system that's supposed to be "all in one entertainment", but I suppose it will do for now. Can you use that to stream music while playing games too? I'm really going to need to be able
to do that once Minecraft finally comes out.

Guys...Just give up on this. The reason you can't play files from your flash is because Microsoft won't be able to charge you for the content. It's all about cash. You're more apt to purchase a service/video online as long as it's inconvenient as possible
    to play them otherwise. LoL.

Ahhh yes, more tin-foil hat stuff. Some big MS conspiracy!

Larry Hyrb said in a podcast that its coming. A member from the Xbox video team said "External Storage is coming in 2014"..

As Rustlebot said, you can stream movies to the xbox via 'Play-To', thou the idea of having to go to the PC everything and right click a file is rather cumbersome and backwards. Also this is the same way you can stream Music to your xbox. Using Play-To for
    music also has its 'limitations'.

Personally, I push people to installing a DLNA server, cleaner/easier in the long run. You can also stream MKV's and AVI's.

  11. You need to have the Xbox Music App installed, but yes, music works the same way. I haven't figured out how to get it to play over the background without snapping the music app, but I'm sure an update will clear that up because it seems like a nice feature
    to have.

Perhaps a command to 'hide' the snapped app and another command to 'show' the snapped app so that you don't need to exit out of the app when you want to get it out of the way.

How do you play continuously from a USB? I have a series with 50 episodes in one folder on the USB, but the video player app stops after each episode? How can I get them to play one after the other like on ps3 video player?

Actually, not a single word was said if you could use it as a standard FLASH drive, only that external storage was "coming". With that kind of political double talk, it leads me to believe that NO you will NOT be ALLOWED to use a flash drive, you MUST buy
an external storage "device" with your money and then FORMAT it to the X1 system. See, this IS where m$ gets greedy. THIS is the sole reason I haven't purchased one yet, as much as I want to. My PS3 lets me use my 1TB external drive as a flash drive, and when
I take it to my parents house in NM 4 hours away to share vids of the child and pics and whatnot, I just plug it into their tv and BOOM we're sharing. Same goes for the grandparents in CA, 16 hours away and my sister in NM 5 hours away. We share...we're not
locked into giving up storage space for the sake of owning a new system. So, again, the question is and has been, can it be used as a flash drive?
