Playing EA owned games offline on a linked Xbox One

Please check first if you have a completed transaction for the game on your account's order history at this link, https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders.

If there is a completed transaction for the game there then that definitely means your account owns the license of the game. Please follow the steps below one at a time using your console to sort out the issue.

Please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:



Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console



1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Solution 2: Check for any pending game updates.



Go to “My Apps & Games”, select the game title, and press the more options button. From the list, select “Manage game & add-ons” and then “Updates”. Any updates will be available here.

Solution 3: Please try to uninstall and reinstall the game and see if that sorts out the issue.



Solution 4: Do a factory reset



1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and keep my games & apps.

but to play digitally owned games while offline the Xbox will need to be set as your Home Xbox (or the Home Xbox for the account that owns the games)

you won't get achievements while your Xbox is offline and some games require online to play (even some single player games) but for most solo games this should work.

The fact is that EA uses their own servers to allow people to play their games and EA has a minimum age requirement of 13 to be able to play their games, when i made my EA account and linked them i had no issue linking my account, yet when my nephew tried
he could not play the games (He was 12).

If you are in fact over the game minimum, just make a new EA account and make sure your birthday is correct as the one you entered when you signed up for xbox live, and then link the account. Like Tem stated, if you did not lie it will be your actual birthday.

EA's not going to be able to answer that in an e-mail.

EA's own systems allow playing of a title on multiple devices. Take Origin offline on PC1, leave it online on PC2. Games that are installed on PC1 are playable offline at the same time as they are on PC2.

if you ever played an ea game in the past then it auto creates a profile for you, if you have since created your own ea account then it won't be linked.

you can sign into ea with your xbox live account and then unlink that other account.
