Playing DLC from other profiles and same console.

I just got my xbox 360 from repair. Started playing and had some trouble playing DLC from another profile and contacted support. They told me that you now have to buy the DLC for each individual profile to play it now. Evidentially it was a recent policy
change. It this true and when did it go in place.

2 system dlc question.

So since I've got 2 accounts, only my dlc profile is aloud to play the downloadable games without getting into trouble or can my new profile play it at the same time too? Dlc profile on one system and new profile on my other playing the same game I downloaded
on the dlc profile.

 

Best Buy DLC code is only 19 digits...

Its also lock to whatever profile you enter is from, meaning that other profiles on the same console will no be able to use it like normal dlc works

No. Content licenses are stored in the Xbox 360 console rather than in the Xbox Live account.

To enable someone else's Xbox Live account to use your content licenses, you must download your Xbox Live profile and then transfer your content licenses to that person's Xbox 360 console.

After you follow these steps, content can be used by other profiles on your console and when you’re not connected to Xbox Live.

 

Both accounts are on the same xbox already. They were before the xbox was sent in for repair. I was able to play the content from the other profile before the xbox was sent in.

For example the other profile had the All Fronts Collection for Gears of War 2. This profile was always able to play that content before I sent the console in. Now I can not access that content with this profile.

 

That's nice. Just humor me and follow the steps above.

 

Will have to wait until Thursday. Can't to a license transfer until then. Will let you know how it turns out.
