Playing digital games offline...

So I don't know if you guys think the Xbox team should make an update to let us play our digital games that we bought on the Xbox store or a digital copy of a game from gamestop or w.e but im at work right now I don't have connection to Xbox live which is
fine BUT I can't play any of my games because I need to be signed in to Xbox live I used to own a ps4 and i never had this issue if i had no internet connection and wasn't connected to the online servers I could still play my digital games I hope the Xbox
team sees this hopefully does something about it because I have games that aren't only online game example destiny or the division that I can play by myself I hope others can agree

Important Question about Offline BC Gameplay

To play your digital games offline, the console you wish to use them must be the home console for your account. You must set the home console while connected to Xbox LIVE. Once the 'Home' console is set, you can play all Xbox One games offline, even the
digital ones.

In regards to the original question about playing BC Xbox 360 games offline, the answer is yes. You can play Xbox 360 games offline too. How do I know? I've just tried it with the Xbox Arcade game 'Perfect Dark' and it worked fine.

 

Is discless play without a 24 check still possible?

You can play digitally downloaded games offline on your own machine but have to be connected to live to play them on other machines, if you get a new machine you can do a licence transfer, to make your new machine the default machine allowing you to pay those games offline.

 

Did you go in the settings and put your console into offline mode?? I have played many games (digital and disc) offline with no problems. The only games not playable offline for me are ones that have a multi-player online only mode (like Titanfall).

 

Set you console to offline mode following the steps below:

How to go offline

1.Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

2.Select Settings.

3.Select All Settings.

4.Select Network.

5.Select Network settings, and then select Go offline.

Also you may need to set your console to your 'Home' console:

Designate an Xbox One console as your home Xbox

Note You can designate only one console as your home Xbox.

1.Scroll left from Home to open the guide.

2.Select Settings.

3.Select All Settings.

4.Select Personalisation.

5.Select My home Xbox.

6.Review the information, and then do one of the following:

•Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.

•Select This is not my home Xbox to remove the designation.
