Playing Call of Duty on Series S and XBox 1 at the same time

Thanks for your quick response! I've just checked with him, and apparently he's already been speaking to someone tonight and been advised that he will need to buy another copy for them both to play on two machines. Such a disappointment after a great day
because we can't afford that on top of everything else, but I suppose these companies have to make their money, don't they?

Please don't apologize, it is not a silly question at all.

Please make sure they're both using different profiles. If your grandson and his dad are using the same exact one, it won't work, because only one can be active at a time. To solve this issue, make a new account for your grandson. Also, don't forget to Home
Share the Xbox on his profile, meaning your grandson will have access to all digital games of his dad's. To game share, sign in to their profiles and go to: Settings > Personalization > My home Xbox > Make this my home Xbox (This will make sure that the Digital
Game Library is shared)

The only thing is, if they got any disc games, only one can play them at a time.

He might be the only person reporting this here, but he's so far from alone. I play backwards compatible Call of Duty games with dozens of people, and they all notice and agree that there is significant input lag when playing any of these games.

I can confirm that the issue is present on Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty World at War, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty Black Ops, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, and Call of Duty Black Ops 2. I can confirm that this issue is present on Xbox One and Xbox Series S. These people collectively can confirm the issue is present across Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. Several of them have purchased an Xbox 360 instead to avoid it.

I hope this issue can be passed along and resolved at some point. I can deal with it, but I certainly notice it and find it rather annoying.

I`m really not into the Call of duty Or Modern Warfare Series. I really do dislike these games as they are extremely over-rated and they are the same generic junk they keep releasing each time.

It`s a little bit like FIFA (video game series) in a way, Don't expect anything Game-Breaking, You know what you are going to get when you purchase the game. The same generic type of Game-Play or Style you would expect from any other FIFA (video game series)
as well as the Call of duty Series. -_-
