    Playing an Xbox One purchased outside of the UK in the UK?


    Any one gaming on a console they bought outside of the UK? Living in Aus at the moment and some of the prices are ridiculous $495 with 3 games and Kinnect, that's like 300 gbp. Seriously thinking about taking the plunge but worried about the logistics. Xbox
    say its fine but a few friends keep planting doubt in my mind!

    Edit: solved. I am abroad on holidays and tried to buy from here (outside UK) (still living in the UK though!).

    Solution: I VPN-ed to a server in the UK and purchased. It worked.

    Will my US/N.American Xbox One play International Games?

    My parents are currently traveling to multiple countries. Currently in China, and able to purchase legitimate Xbox One games (both major US titles and local). They will also be traveling to Thailand, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand.

    I am curious, will my Xbox One system support playing games purchased overseas? Will games purchased in China play on my Region 1 Xbox One, or from any other country outside of where it was purchased?

    Other tha needing the correct power brick for Australia it should work fine.

    Not sure about region settings for DVD and Blu rays.

    They are almost that price here now though and some folks I work with brought back laptops and ended up still paying import tax on them so be careful you get stung

    The power voltage in Australia is 230V 50Hz same as the UK. You will not require a different power brick, all you will need is an adapter for the plug.

    Xbox One has no region lock outs for disc games. Any games on disc you want to buy in OZ will work fine on a UK console. There will be regional blocks for game downloads though.

    Australia uses Region 4 for DVD playback, DVD's from OZ will not play on your UK Xbox One. However, the Blu-ray region for Australia is the same as the UK and Europe, so these films will play.
