    Playing a DVD, 480i and 4:3?


    I hardly ever use my Xbox One to play anything other than games but I bought South Park Seasons 1-5 and 6-10 and wanted to watch them on my Xbox. After popping the first disk in I notice the immediate change to 4:3. Checking the info shows 480i. Is there
    some setting that I am missing that will enable me to view the DVDs in full screen? These DVDs play fine in my Blu-Ray player, just not my Xbox One. Thanks.

    Dvd playing quality

    I recently moved and before I moved my xbox one played dvd in a higher quality than 480i. Now that I moved and set things back up, my picture quality on playing dvds has become crappy and play in only 480i. I am playing the exact same dvd as I was playing
    before I moved. I had no issues with it before and nothing is different other than my new location.

    Love my new Blu-Ray, Xbox!

    DVDs are everywhere still and they are 480i, not 480p.

    There currently isn't an option to switch 4:3 DVDs to widescreen. We're always taking feedback over on

    Are you attempting to play the game on a screen that is Full HD? I ask as some games have instant crash issues when attempting to play on anything except 480i/480p, and even then if you screen ratio is set to 4:3. Something to try anyway, bit hit and miss
    with the old ones.
