Playing a disc game for the XBox One

I purchased the game "Hasbro Family Fun Pack, 4 Great Games in 1" which has Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit Live!, Monopoly Plus and Risk. I would like to know exactly how do I play any of the games? When I insert the disc and it pops up on the screen, I hit
play and it sends the msg about inserting the disc if you own it or go to the store and purchase. Do I need to purchase something else in order to play the game or no?

Hi. That game is not backwards compatible. You would have to go to this site for the list of games that are BC. Xbox One Backward Compatibility List | Xbox

It happened to me, it was enough to clear the cache (holding the power button for 10 secs) and then it worked.

 

Sometime when our store doesn't read that you have a the disc in the drive. It doesn't give you the permission to play or download these games. Try this, take out your disc go to
settings

select disc and bluray

select bluray

select your persistent storage

Clear 3Xs

Back to settings,

Select power n startup

select turn off or restart and restart now

When the console comes back up CLICK on the game title WITHOUT
putting the disc in yet. Once you get the same message insert disc. This has worked for me before on my older console. Hopefully it helps!
