    Playing 4k blu ray disk


    Neep help solving Xbox issue with receiver. I can play games and use apps but when ever I try to play a 4k movie disk I loose signal and no picture come out the TV. I have the Xbox connected to the reviever and receiver to the TV. Everything check out
    on the Xbox whenever I go to 4k details. Already call Xbox support and receiver support but no solution.

    UHD disk not playing.

    Actually it does play 4k Blu Ray disk just fine.

    Are you playing these movies from a 4k UHD Blu Ray or streaming service? If from disk, have you updated the Blu Ray player app on the Xbox?

    It's just a rumor ! I think the next generation have a disk drive because the best 4K Quality for movie is from Blu-ray 4K disk. The digital 4K version of movie don't have the same quality.

    Nope, it isn't just one disc. It is 6 different 4k blu ray disks from different studios. So none of the 4k disks work after that August 6 update. Whereas they worked prior to that.

    xbox one "will" support 4k blu-rays in the future. They just haven't announced it when it will. So if you buy 4k blu ray movies they will not play yet on the xbox one. as with standard blu rays I find it only noticeable on larger blu ray tvs. I have
    a 4k 70in tv, the only way I can currently see blu ray formatted shows is on the built in apps in the tv. Mainly Netflix.
