Playing 360 game on series S via game pass

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently facing issues with your 360 games when trying to download them on your Xbox series S. But don't worry, the following troubleshooting will fix the issue.

Step 1: Clear Mac address:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

Step 2: Close any running games:

To remove download constraints from games or apps being installed, you can either wait for the Xbox to suspend the running game, or you can force games to close by doing the following:

1. On the Home screen, navigate to your most recently run game.
   
2. With the game highlighted, press the Menu button and select Quit.
   

Step 3: Remove your account:

First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm then re-add your account.

Step 4: Reset your console:

If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

Game Pass is only for the Xbox One/Series consoles, so if you're trying to play a game you don't own via Game Pass on your Xbox 360, that's why it's not working.

Do you mean Series S or One S? If it has a disc drive it's a One S

Xbox One cannot play Flight Simulator except via the cloud using Game Pass Ultimate

If you are getting a "you need gamepass" logo on a Series, you need to reinstall the game to remove the GP tags

Where did the Xbox 360 games come from? Another Xbox 360?

If they were downloaded via an Xbox One/Series console you can't play these games on an Xbox 360. Firstly the drive wouldn't be configured for an Xbox 360. Secondly, Xbox 360 games downloaded via an Xbox One or Series X|S are actually 360 games that have been converted to run on an Xbox One, they are no longer native Xbox 360 games.

Flight Simulator is only available on the Series S/X and PC. It hasn't been released for the One. If you have Game Pass Ultimate, you can play the game via the cloud on the One.
