The time has come for the biggest multiplayer game of 2017 to land on Xbox One consoles. PUBG has taken the gaming world by storm, and we are extremely excited for it to launch as an Xbox Game Preview title.

To arm yourself for battle royale in PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUND, we have prepared this FAQ to cover any questions you may have.

Q: What kind of game is PUBG?

A: PLAYERUNKNOWN’s BATTLEGROUNDS, or commonly referred to as ‘PUBG’, is a battle royale game where the last player standing wins. You, along with 99 other players, will drop into a large map with no equipment. Once you land, it’s a race to find equipment
and prepare yourself for battle.

As the match progresses, a circle will close in on a random point in the map. If you’re outside the blue circle, you will receive damage over time until you are inside the circle. This damage increases as the play area shrinks, so it’s in your best interest
to stay within the play area.

Q: When does PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Game Preview title release on Xbox One?

A: PUBG will join the Xbox Game Preview program on 12/12/17.

Q: What is the Xbox Game Preview program?



A: Xbox Game Preview is a way for Xbox fans to preview and purchase work-in-progress digital titles, participate in the development process and help developers make Xbox One games the best they can be.

Q: Since PUBG is an Xbox Game Preview release, where can I go to leave feedback or report bugs?

A: While PUBG is in Game Preview, feedback and bug reports can be left on PUBG Corp’s Official Forums.

Q: When can I pre-purchase PUBG digitally on the Xbox Store?

A: PUBG will be purchasable digitally on 12/11 at 9pm PST.

Q: How much will PUBG cost?

A: PUBG will cost $29.99 / €29,99 / £24.99 at release.

Q: Can I pick up a physical copy of PUBG for Xbox One?

A: Yes! There is a physical copy of PUBG available through retailers that includes a digital code for the game.

If you purchased the physical version of the game, you can unlock the game by redeeming your 25-digit code over at our Code Redemption page while signed-in.

Q: Will there be downloadable content for PUBG on Xbox One?

A: Aside from the PUBG Warrior Pack, PUBG Accessory Pack and the PUBG Tracksuit Pack released throughout December 2017, there are no plans to feature any in-game purchases in the Xbox Game Preview version.

Q: Will vaulting be available for the Xbox One version at launch?

A: Yes. Xbox One players will be able to scale over walls and jump through windows on launch.

Q: How many maps are included in PUBG?

A: There will be one map available at launch, Erangel. Later down the road, fans will be able to play on the new desert themed map ‘Miramar’.

Q: What’s up with the chicken dinner references?

A: If you manage to outlive your fellow combatants and secure the win, you will see the message ‘Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!’ pop-up on screen.
