    Player sent me a message threatening my account.


    I was chasing a guy on GTAV and he was in an Insurgent and obviously I wanted to blow it up. I blew it up and then I killed him again. He then sent me a message telling me to stop or he do something to my account. Basically meaning he was either going to
    get it hacked or he was going to hack it. I'm very worried now and I want him banned.

    Please help me - Being harassed on XBL

    Someone is constantly sending me threatening messages and hitting me offline. He's sent me my own ip address to me in a message to try and scare me, I have valid proof that he's been threatening to get my account banned and I keep getting hit offline. Is there anything I can do about this if I can show someone the messages that he's sending to me? I have no problem giving an employee my information for them to see the proof themselves.

    If you haven't done so already, you'd need to file a complaint on him via the console and block communications with him.

    I disagree with your assessment. I exchanged messages with both the people in question. One guy I exchanged the messages with received several reports from my part because he was threatening my life. The other guy sent me messages back just the same way
    i sent him messages. Yet in the instance that my life is threatened xbox does not suspend his account? This guy kept it up for days. Yet in the instance where I literally sent ONE message with ONE curse word, I get suspended? Which I mean come on guys, code
    of conduct aside we can all agree when someone is being a jerk right? Why do I get a suspension for one curse word, and the other guy gets to continue threatening my life for days? The policy enforcement you are describing here doesn't reconcile to the events.

    May I also point out that if the block communications doesn't work for you, you do have the option to alter your account privacy settings. Privacy settings for both communications and online status can be changed to either 'Friends Only' or 'Blocked'. Once
    the privacy settings are changed, random users will no longer be able to send messages to your accout.

    Microsoft will not give you an account name change for free. If you still want to change your Gamertag, you will have to pay.

    WGHx HYS73RIA Please do not name and shame on the Xbox Support forums as it's not
    allowed (ie: posting a persons gamertag). Please simply file a complaint against the users you believe to be doing anything
    against the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use or Code of Conduct,
    and block communications with them if they have sent you any sort of messages.
    Please Note: Once you have blocked communications with someone, please do not send a message back to them as that undoes the block.
