Discus and support Playback of 4k hdr media files with dolby atmos in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I want to play 4k hdr media files with dolby atmos through usb port from hdd/flash drive on my xbox one s.     Playback of 4k hdr media files with dolby atmos


    I want to play 4k hdr media files with dolby atmos through usb port from hdd/flash drive on my xbox one s. What is setting that I have to make for it to work. I know xbox only allow bitstream in the blueray app but other media players cannot bitstream.

    Apart from bitstream is there any way to play those media files?

    Can xbox decode Dolby Atmos and send the decoded stream to my AVR?

    Please help.

    Playback of 4k hdr media files with dolby atmos

    Go to xbox settings, Choose "General", Set "speaker audio" to HDMI Bitstream out, then set " bitstream format" to Dolby Atmos for home theater. This will allow all games and apps that support dolby atmos to use those nice surround sound speakers. If you
    get an error when choosing dolby atmos, you may need to make sure your hdmi from the xbox goes to the audio receiver directly with the audio reciever sending hdmi to the tv.

    You may have to adjust settings on your audio receiver or tv.

    You can also setup dolby atmos for a stereo headset pugged into your controller and have surround sound that way, nice for late nights when others are sleeping.

    Xbox One X Dolby Atmos not working

    I have a Vizio 65 4K HDR TV with an LG 9 sounder with Dolby Atmos. Used an HDMI connection for Atmos sound and nothing. Is it my sounder or my X or is it a software issue between the X and Dolby?

    Hi I have a Xbox series x with a Dolby vision compatible tv also will the allow Dolby vision playback selected in settings on and it still only displays in HDR only when playing 4k blu rays ? I have set it 4k 60hz and the games display in Dolby vision plus streaming apps but not 4k disc playback! Is this correct that the xbox series can’t do this ?

    Xbox One S Dolby Atmos Support

    Hi guys i have just bought a dolby atmos sound bar but now the 4k blu ray says no hdr device.

    The picture is much worse as minus hdr but the sound is very decent.

    My set up is

    tv 55 sony xe90

    xbox one S

    sony ht xf9000 dolby atmos virtual surround bar and sub woofer

    + 4k blu ray.

    all cables 2.0 hdmi.

    Any ideas why now it wont play 4k blu ray in HDR?
