    Playback Failure (5005) happens on a daily basis now.


    It says this is a "network connection" issue, but my fiber connection isn't going down when it happens. In fact, when I load a program again, it stops and errors out at the exact same part of the program over and over again...What the *** is going on here?

    More annoying is that when this happens, HULU+ forgets where I was in the program and you have to start at the beginning, get bombarded with annoying ads, then fast forward and try to make a guess where you left off, and again get bombarded with annoying
    ads again. For a service I pay for....

    HULU+ seems to be a *** app.

    Change your IP by resetting your router and try staying away from them. Sadly it happens on a daily basis on XBL.

    I'm having the exact same problem on my XBox One. I'm on the preview firmware and the 1406 update the other day didn't fix it either. It started some time ago, around the time I got the 1405 update, but I'm not sure enough to say that started it. The Netflix
    app seems to do a similar thing every once in a while too.

    I wonder if it's not some sort of network problem that a recent Hulu app or firmware update just made worse.. I've been suspect of the XBox One's network performance since the day I first hooked it up.

    Has anyone experienced/solved this problem themselves? For reference's sake, I have 40mb internet connection using VDSL2, so my MTU is capped at 1492. Outside of the XBox One, my internet performs exactly as expected. Also, the Xbox is connected to my LAN
    by wire.

  5. This happens to me multiple times a night.......EVERY NIGHT. I have cleared cache, checked my connection, etc. and nothing has worked.

    I think this is a a global issue with the app itself, the error is on both Xbox One and PS4.

    Yep, this happens to me all of the time, too. What's even more annoying is that it always happens at the last minute or so left in the program. Every now and then, if I'm really keen on seeing the end, I found that starting a different show or episode then
    going back to the one where the error occurred would let me see the end. It doesn't work all of the time but it has worked.

    I'm having the same error, but it doesn't reproduce itself whenever I use another app. I think the problem is in the X1 app itself. Annoying...very annoying...

    I've been having the same issue. I tried restarting the modem, router and X1. The issue still shows up randomly. I have also had multiplayer issues with Call of Duty. My issues ranged from lagging, black screens and getting booted to main screen. I plan
    on updating the firmware for my router & performing a reset to factor default on my X1. At the moment it seems like the only thing to do. I have already chewed out my ISP provider ... no result. I did find a related issue linking the error to damaged registry
    files, malware or corrupted data. Since my modem is basically bridged, I will follow thru with the firmware upgrade and FFR on my X1.

    I am having the same issue. It's terribly annoying. Contacted hulu support and the only thing that worked was uninstalling and reinstalling. But that only seemed to help for about a week and now it's back. I may have to start watching hulu on my other devices
    until they get this fixed.

    no fix. i emailed their tech support back and forth. 1 of them admitted to getting it all the time too. it happens on playstation too. they're clearly aware of it. it's a *** app. Hey, it's not as bad as Crackle. I can't even watch anything on that app -
    it just kicks me out 60 seconds or in...

    i told them i'd cancel and dispute the charge. i went to cancel online and their website immediately gave me 1 month free. upon the expiration of that i'll cancel and dispute prior charges... Hulu will have to explain why their app doesn't function properly
    to the credit card company. they won't be able to...

    Getting same error here. Def will be cancelling after free trial, I won't pay good money for a crap app. Crackle is free so I expect it to screw up sometimes, but this is B.S.
