Play Xbox 360 through Xbox one TV feature?

I've heard you can put our Xbox 360 through the HD port in the back of the xbox one, i would love to do this as it would be easier to play both console. But are you allowed to do this? Just wondering, see if any problems will come out of it before I do it.

Also will it damage either system in any way?

How to play Xbox 360 and other consoles through xbox one!

This is a tutorial how to play your xbox 360 and other consoles through xbox one.

1. Plug your HDMI cable into your 360 and the xbox one HDMI in(Were you plug your TV cable in).

2. Turn your 360 on, Click the TV app on the xbox one and your xbox 360 should start up.

3. Now have fun you can now play your 360 through your xbox one, you can also use the snap feature with it.

This also works with anything HDMI Compatible

TV picture on XO freezing after playing the Xbox 360

I have my Panasonic TV connected into the Xbox One on Channel HDMI 1

My Xbox 360 is set up using HDMI 2 so I have to change the channels to play the 360

Ok this is what happens,

1. Watching TV through Xbox One
2. Decide to play Xbox 360 for a bit so change to HDMI 2
3. Return to Xbox One to watch a bit of TV so change back to HDMI 1
4. TV picture has completely frozen so I have say Xbox Turn Off then Yes
5. TV, sky box and XO all powers down and leave for 10 seconds
6. Say Xbox On and everything is fine and the TV is now playing

Anyone else have this problem?

Oh don't worry, I have found out that you can connect your Xbox 360 to your Xbox one through the HDMI.

[/quote]If you use the HDMI In to plug in your Xbox 360, then you cannot switch between it and TV, because you will not have TV connected through the HDMI In. You can still switch to other apps, such as Skype, but not TV (unless they offer apps such as the
TWC and Verizon apps on 360).

I'm UK, I'm actually running my Xbox 360 through the hdmi so I can switch from 360 to xbox one just by saying 'xbox tv' for pseudo backwards compatibility. I've so far played videos off the xbox 360 through the one with no lag, run last.fm on the 360 through
the one with no lag, and played assassins creed revelations on the 360 through the one with no lag, so not sure why your tv input would be laggy just running sky, maybe something on the sky box side of things?

Yes they did.

The Xbox One will NOT be backwards compatible. With discs OR downloads.

The Xbox One will NOT be always online, you will be missing out on a ton of features by not being online. It will work just how the Xbox 360 works. You can play offline, but to use online-based features you will have to be online(duh)
