Play to option for the one and 360 is giving me an Error "Device is not responding" ...

Is anyone else getting this message? The last 2 days it is not responding to the play to option. I have used this feature frequently through out the 360 and xbox one lifetime I have had theses 2 consoles and now it seems this feature is not responding
anymore. I hope this isn't going to be disabled. I am quite familiar with the setting on both console of how to manage the setting and what needs to be turn on or allowed in my laptop setting to get this feature to work properly as it has always did. I
even tried to uninstall xbox video and reinstall it on my xbox one to just think was a bad update or patch done to it but still no success. xbox video is working just fine but when I "play to" from my laptop it wont launch and gives the above mentioned errors.
Thought maybe it would just rectify itself but it hasn't. The 360 will still work if going into the video system player and choosing to play directly from the c: drive that is linked on the network to share my media.. But I am now used to using the play
to option with my one that I'm confused as to how or why the device can not respond anymore to the feature.. Was it just a bad patch from this last update that I update yesterday when all this started to happen? Need help to find out what is going on...
or if its just my 360 and my xbox one only that is giving this error.

Can only play DVDs when on live

Okay so I think I deleted something that is a storage device for the DVD player because now if I am not connected to live I will get an error message that says "no storage device selected press ok to restart" and it will do it over and over again please
can someone help me

i haven't used the "play to" option since the release of the media player, but if you haven't tried already, power cycle your router, maybe the routing table needs to be cleared.

Thanks for responding, Just wanted to advise that if the reset does not resolve the issue and it continues to happen, Your console will need to be serviced in order to fix this system error.

You can always register your console through the
Device Support Site to view your consoles warranty and see what options it'll give you for repairs.

I am playing on Xbox one and I’m using the disc for my 360 but I downloaded the under nightmare DLC. When I go to play it just gives me the normal or hard-core version of red dead redemption and never gives me an option to play in the nightmare.

There currently is no known errors with the Xbox Home option your son may have enabled home Xbox 3 times an it may have been disabled till the following year
