    Play to - From Win 8.1 to Xbox One


    Hi, Can anyone help ? I have issues with Video Play to from a Win 8.1 device (my tablet and PC). It plays and stops the connection after 10 or 15 mins etc. What's that about ? What can I do ? Thanks a million.

    Xbox Video - Buffering

    Rented movie from Xbox Movies & Videos on 5/14//2016. Enough bandwidth for streaming, but it kept buffering every few minutes, even after 15 minutes of playing. I was streaming on one of my two Surface Pros. The one running 8.1 alone would buffer.

    The 2nd Surface that was running Win 8.1 in dual boot, also buffered. However, in Win 10, it played fine.

    Checked multiple times on Sunday and on Monday to see if there would be any difference.

    None Win 10 Xbox Video rented - Sicario - buffered consistently on Win 8.1.

    Windows 8.1 XBox Live not Synching with Windows 10 XBox Live

    So I upgraded from 8.1 to Windows 10 on my home PC, but it just wasn't agreeing. Yadda yadda yadda, I'm back to 8.1 again, and it's running smooth.

    On my laptop, I also upgraded to Win 10, and it's running fine.

    I have no problem logging in to XBox Live with either computer,.

    The issue I'm having is, with Microsoft Solitaire Collection, the Win 8.1 Xbox Live will not update anything done on Win 10 Xbox Live. However, Win 10 Xbox Live reads anything accomplished on Win 8.1 Xbox Live. As in, I completed the Pyramid Daily Challenge
    on the Win 8.1 PC Xbox Live, and the Win 10 laptop XBox Live shows it as complete. I completed the TriPeaks Daily Challenge on the Win 10 laptop XBox Live, but the Win 8.1 PC Xbox Live does
    NOT show it as complete. Which seems rather odd to me.

    I'm assuming that everything is held server-side. It's not really a major issue, it's more of a curiosity as to what's causing it. Or is it actually functioning correctly?

    Can we use the new Xbox game pass with Windows 8.1 or only with Windows 10 ?
    Win 10 only but you should be able to run win 10 if your running 8.1

    Yes, I have heard stories from others regarding the upgrade nightmares. I've had problems with Win 8 from the very beginning that I've been able to work out. I'm just not impressed with Microsoft's push for everyone to upgrade to Win 8.1. Let's face
    it, all those who upgraded or purchased Win 8.1 are mere guinea pigs for Microsoft.

    Much more Apps don't work anymore with Win 8.1 (i.e. Mahjong, Minesweeper, solitaire collection a.s.o.)
