Play time game vs console leaderboards

Trust the in game time I noticed this also a couple weeks ago, I believe that the timer on the console is how long the console sees(thinks) your game open. So if you go home and browse without going to the menu and quitting the game the Xbox time has a timer
loop increment like For (open = 0; open > quit; open++). That’s my poor pseudo attempt.

I have come to this conclusion due to the fact this is not the only game that has miscalculated time I have encountered. I may be wrong if we could get a Microsoft rep to confirm would be great, I too have seen this for example my Console game time = 52hours
Game time = 47hours, and I do just go to home then where ever like Twitch or Netflix then reopen and continue game.

As far as I know the in game play time is accurate.

I have the same issue. Leaderboards still saying that i need to play multiplayer. Rank 5 on the game. I've got the up to date version and tried reinstalling (restarting console between uninstall and reinstall). Smart glass also not showing any leaderboard

No, all the games got completed-no one got booted. If you go to the leaderboard, and then compare vs your friends, you'll see it under "history".

I like that the liberal application of dirty laps due to drafting keep the leaderboards a little cleaner. This pretty much forces people to use rivals mode (where drafting is a non-issue) when attempting to set leaderboard times. I think that's a good thing.

Clean vs. dirty laps have no other meaning in the game besides sorting on the leaderboards (clean laps always rank higher than dirty laps). So, if you're just doing career mode racing dirty laps are a non-issue anyways.

All my leaderboards are empty too. There's a message to play and get on the leaderboard, but I've played several games and still nothing appears on the leaderboards. Mahjong and Taptiles are the same.
