Play & charge kit - NOT CHARGING

Hi, my play & charge kit stopped charging, so went through the trouble shooting guide on the site. According to the site the battery was faulty, ok fine, went & got it replaced, put the new on in....same problem. Tomorrow i will take my controller & kit
to mates house & see what happens but i wondering if anyone else has been having similar issues, as i think its the console at fault.

rechargeable batteries

I don't use rechargeable batteries but I don't believe you can charge them as you play.

I use the official play & charge kit

Had mine since launch & never had an issue & the time between charges is quite long.

The play & charge kits I had for my 360 lasted about 8 years so I expect the xbox one one to be the same.

Hey there Gixie76!

Sorry to hear about the charging issue. Since you have already tried replacing the batteries, I would also verify that the issue is not with the charge cable. If you are able to, try a different micro USB cable and see if the battery charges. You can also

Hi Mister Quimby,

Yes tried different cables, unfortunately i have found out the controller is faulty after trying it on my friends xbox one & now my controller is not responding at all so hopeing to get replaced.

Hi Mr Quimby, actually got it sorted now through web chat service, turns out it was a case ofvlearing the mac address & reconnecting the controller after a power cycle?

So all good again, but the solution could do with being put on the trouble shooting pages.

It does however the older controller will not work with the new cables

You need an old micro USB for that to work

You do need the USB type c cable for the new series z controllers which are 3rd gen

Do you have an plug and play kit? Because when you use the plug and play kit it will sync the controller up. If that doesn't work it does sound like a problem on the console.

No accessories except a plug and play kit.

^^Just play and get the feel for weapons and kits you like as everyones different. Push objectives and play your kit and of course, playing with friends makes games much more enjoyable. Also try empty servers and learn vehicle operations (if thats your thing).
