Play & Charge Kit: LED indicator not functioning?

I have just depleted the battery pack for the first time, causing the controller to disconnect from the system. As soon as I plug the controller into the console it immediately is recognized and is fully functional, but unfortunately the led indicator
is not lighting up orange as it should when charging. Is anyone else having this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

    :)

There you go. The cable is called the charging cable with an LED charging indicator, several places on the site say it charges while you play and when the console is in standby mode

    HEYYYYYY dude...

Wow, I'm kinda glad someone else has had this issue except me! (But you're not going to like it).

Firstly, if you have a play and charge kit, and have the rechargeable battery inserted and the cable plugged in properly, then take the back case off of the controller so you see the battery.

Now kinda push DOWN (from the top of the pad toward the bottom of the pad) on the side of the battery that has the terminals on it... (kinda as if you were pushing the battery down toward the bottom of the pad more).

Have a look at the charging light and see if it works...

Basically, I have a problem with my Day One pad in which the battery doesn't sit in the back properly and needs to be pushed down for it to charge properly... purchased 2 other pads which also had the same problem, so I returned them to the shops...

Got a 3rd pad from another shop, worked FINE. No mucking around with the battery required.

My guess, is that there was a small batch of faulty pads made... Anyway, see if this helps you. Just move the battery around in the port till you get the light to show up! Play & Charge Kit: LED indicator not functioning? :)

Thanks for the reply. I've googled the hell out of this problem and have actually run across that solution. Unfortunately moving the battery around did not cause the light to come on. I did however leave it plugged in over night and it did charge, but only
enough to last about two hours. Before plugging it in I had attempted to wirelessly reconnect until it was completely depleted. I am actually responding from the parking lot of target as I just exchanged the play and charge kit. Wish me luck on this next one.
    Will update ASAP.

Kabel od gamepada Xbox One S + zestaw Play And Charge [Translate]

I already tried the solutions mentioned on that page - the only thing it helped, is that now the led indicator actually works. But as I mentioned above the battery charges for about 5 minutes and then it changes it color to white. Fortunately I can play
games in wired mode, but still there is problem with charging the kit.
