    you can't recharge AA rechargeable batteries in the controller, using a USB cable. You would need a seperate plug in charger for AA batteries. Only Charge & Play kits can charge via USB. Some 3rd party ones have a USB port in the battery to do so.

    I have an Xbox one wireless controller, aa alkaline batteries, I bought myself a play @ charge set in the mediamarkt if the cable charges aa alkaline batteries, because I do not want to put the battery in the play @ charge set
