    Play burned DVD in the xbox one


    Hi everyone!

    I have to burn on a DVD a movie made with final cut pro, now it's a .mkv file, in the format "DATA DVD" because I do not want to lose quality (DVD VIDEO).

    Is this supported?

    Can the original xbox and xbox360 play personally burned dvds? If yes, do they stutter like the PS2 does when playing burned dvds? I want a console that is powerful enough to play burned cds and dvds without stuttering? The xbox is more powerful than the
    ps2. so if the xbox does it too, which I doubt it, then I'll stick to the ps2. I need to be sure first before I buy an original xbox though! someone please help me!

    need help with dvd movie

    Hello all, I recently purchased my xbox one ( very first xbox, have had playstation in the past). I had gotten a dvd movie a friend had burned for me and it will not play in the blueray app on the xbox one, however, a store bought dvd will and this dvd that
    my friend gave me will play on my daughters blue ray player. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help

    DVD Playback issues

    If the disc you burned, is in a DVD format.. It should come up as a DVD on the Dashboard & all you need to do, is press A where it says "Play DVD" etc..

    Xbox slim wont play dvds

    I read your posts and it stated that you burned some DVDs? Do the DVDs play in other devices besides the computer? The way you are burning them could be the issue. I would try using a DVD that's purchased and see what happens. Please try that and let
    everyone know what happens. Thanks!

    No Playback of Burned DVD's?!?

    I can play a 2012 burned DVD-R on my xbox360. But I can't play DVD-R disks of MVI files !! So it can be done. I am still troubleshooting.

    There are guides on how to download and burn the file on a cd/dvd or use a usb flash drive,on that link.

    Click on the green letters that say 'try updating your console software',then select the 'Install from a game disk'.

    Next select 'Burn to a CD or DVD'.

    As you will see below there are some green letters 'download the update file', thats the file you want.

    Burning this file on a cd/dvd ,will help you update any xbox easily.
