Discus and support Play Anywhere Region Compatibility in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Seeing as Microsoft still haven't managed to be completely region-free (unlike Sony), I was wondering if I will be able to download Gears 4 on my PC...     Play Anywhere Region Compatibility


    Seeing as Microsoft still haven't managed to be completely region-free (unlike Sony), I was wondering if I will be able to download Gears 4 on my PC bought in Japan and running on Japanese Windows 10 if I use my UK credit card to download Gears 4 on my British
    Xbox.

    I want to know this before purchasing, because I've had numerous problems with this incredibly ill-conceived region locking before, and it's wasted a lot of my money on gift cards that I cannot redeem.

    Please help.

    Xbox Game Pass is an Xbox One, Xbox Play Anywhere, and Xbox 360 backwards compatibility game subscription for Xbox One. Xbox Game Pass currently features a select number of Xbox Play Anywhere games that is continually increasing. The latest list of Xbox

    LOCKED - Can not get Escalation or the map pack before to work.

    no as stated by the sticky you MUST make the correct region account and use the correct region disk japanese dlc will not work with a US disk



    in this case japanese account + japanese disk + japanese region = download and gameplay

    us disk + japanese account + japanese region = region compatibility

    us disk + us account + japanese region = region compatibility and not availiable in your region

    Not all PC games are compatible with xbox, check that it says PLAY ANYWHERE.

    Dear Microsoft, please make Xbox 360 region free too.

    360 is region free. It's capable of playing games from anywhere. It's the publishers who region lock the games, not Microsoft.
