    Play Anywhere Gears 5 bought on Amazon


    I bought Gears 5 from Amazon and installed it. Played for an hour then went to download it to my PC. It does not show up on the Windows store as a game I own. I have games I bought through Widows Store (like Cuphead) that does show up. So I am wondering,
    how do I register a game I bought? Or does Play Anywhere only work on titles you buy through Windows Store? Please Help

    It only works with the digital version, not the physical.

    I do not know how that works. If it was bought through Amazon I do not think it applies to the Play Anywhere. As far as I know that is just an Amazon purchase. You would have to purchase it through Microsoft in order for it to apply.

    Yes, Play Anywhere only works with digital version of the games and yes, Microsoft has got a (let us say "incomplete") Marketing - and maybe only outside of the US market!?
