    Play and charge not charging on xbox one s


    Finally upgraded to an Xbox One S but have run into a few issues.

    The biggest one is that none of my two play and charge battery packs actually charge up when connected to the xbox one s, they worked fine the day before on the original xbox one. I tried both batteries with both cords, they simply will not charge. Its been
    a week now and batteries are out of power so i have to have the usb cord plugged in to use my controllers.

    I googled this but couldnt find anyone with the same issue.

    On a smaller note, the default headset that comes with the original xbox one doesnt seem to work in the S controller.

    Xbox one X, Play and Charge kit doesn't work

    Play and Charge kit doesn't work with my Xbox one X controller (project Scorpio). There is a problem with charging (no light), baterry is empty. When I use xbox one s controller everything is OK.

    Hi

    I would first try removing the battery from the controller and putting it back in again just incase it may have moved and not connected properly. If you still have issues after this I would contact where you purchased the play and charge kit from and try
    to get a replacement.

    Yes the official play and charge kit will work in the Xbox One S controller.

    Same here, the same problem even with full charge. I tried with stylus batteries and also with the play&charge kit, using the Xbox One X black controller included with the console and also an Xbox One S controller (the white one with Bluetooth and audio
    jack).

    The Xbox One S controller uses two Double A (AA) batteries to power on wirelessly. You can also use a

    Play & Charge     kit to have the ability to recharge your controller. So long as the batteries are standard to Double A you should have no problem powering the Xbox One S controller.

    I was having the same problem, s controller wouldn't charge so I was using my old controller to charge the battery packs (I have 2) and when I swapped the packs I noticed one fit slightly different in the s. One pack went in easier and I decided to try
    plugging it up again with that one in and it worked fine. The light came on and it charged normally. Mayne there is a slight size differnce in older vs new play and charge kits that cause a misalignment?
