    Play and Charge kit won't charge controller


    I just bought a Play and Charge kit for my Xbox One controller which I use for my PC. The battery works fine and the cable works to connect my controller but the light on the cable never turns on and it doesn't charge the battery. When the battery runs out,
    the cable does not charge it but only keeps the controller on. I thought it must've been defective so replaced it but the same problem persists. What could be the issue? Can you not charge through a PC USB port? Could it just be my controller that's the issue?

    Xbox 360 controller for Windows 8.1

    Not via a play and charge kit. The play and charge kit simply charges the gamepad it doesn't turn it into a wired controller.

    Which is best for FPS wired or Wireless Controller

    If you do get the play and charge kit, it's like both having a wired and wireless controller at the same time. Anyways, playing on FPS on either one won't affect anything, so it's best to get the play and charge kit.

    Have you tried a different cable? Perhaps the cable that came with the Play and Charge kit is worn out or frayed within.

    You can use any standard Micro-USB cable you can find. You can use the ones that come with Android phones, for example.

    I can't confirm it, but I remember reading somewhere that the cord that comes with the play & charge kit won't actually charge the batteries in your controller - it will only allow you to use the controller while your batteries charge in the kit. If true,
    I find this quite disappointing...
