Play and Charge Kit not functioning properly after barely 3 months??

Purchased a Play and Charge Kit around New Years and there were some strange problems at the time but overall it worked well and as advertised. Now, the controller charges very quickly (no more than 10 minutes). Unfortunately it also dies just as fast. I
get it, batteries eventually die out- but when I bought a brand new official xbox product for $30.00 I would expect it to last longer than a meagre three months. Upon searching I found out that this has happened to other people. While this charge kit costs
more than every other third-party charging solution- in January, I would've recommended it. Is this still available for repair or warranty? I would've probably felt better flushing $30.00 down the toilet, because then at least I wouldn't have felt cheated
by a company I have been loyal to for so many years.

Controller Issue

As of late, my play and charge kit hasn't been functioning properly, as it won't hold a charge. Controller works fine, but it will turn off in an instant once the charger is removed. Is this a problem with battery pack or the cable itself?

 

Xbox Play And Charge Kit Won't Charge

When you first got your play and charge kit, did you plug it in and let it charge uninterrupted without playing for one full charge?

If not, it did not charge properly and will not function properly, suck as losing charge or being unable to charge properly.

 

If you can't return it to the store you bought it from, I would try myservice.xbox.com to see if you can get a repair/replacement. That isn't supposed to die that quickly. I've had one for over a year now and it works just as new.
