Play and charge issue.

I've had the play and charge kit since launch and it was working fine most of the time. For the last few weeks though whenever I plug the charging wire in, my controller loses sync to my console and turns off and will not reconnect until I remove the play
and charge wire. The controller still charges but I can't do anything while it does.

This happens every time I try to use it now and it seems to have started around the same time as that controller update. My brother has the same issue with his play and charge kit too, so I know it isn't just me.

Xbox play and charge issue

Try re-syncing your controller. Maybe that wi fix the issue. Is the controller functional besides what you typed? If that doesn't work, try a regular battery pack and batteries. If that didn't resolve it, then the controller itself may be malfunctioning
on you.

 

Plug and play charger issue.

Did something change for the 360 plug and play for the controller? Cause it seems to me that I used to be able to shut down my 360 and it would charge overnight.

 

I have this issue since launch too. Day One controller and one I bought. I tried everything even playing with no batteries, still same issue. I think the controllers have a design flaw in Micro USB port.

Both controllers model numbered 1537

 

To resolve this issue, determine the faulty component and then replace that component:

The Xbox One Wireless Controller

To troubleshoot the wireless controller, try using AA batteries, or try a different Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack to verify that nothing is wrong with the controller. If the controller works with different batteries, it isn't causing the issue.

The Xbox One Play & Charge cable

To check whether the cable is the problem, try a different Play & Charge cable (or any standard USB to micro-USB cable) to charge the battery. If the battery charges correctly with a different cable, your charge cable is faulty.

The rechargeable battery

To troubleshoot the rechargeable battery, try the following:

Use a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol to clean the four gold contacts on the Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack and on the Xbox One Wireless Controller. Then try to charge the battery again.

Try a different Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Pack with the charge cable. If the second battery charges correctly, your original battery is faulty.

 

My Xbox One Play & Charge cable is faulty but I cannot find where I go to mail it in or return it/get it replaced. Can someone please help me?
