Play and Charge battery no longer charging

My play and charge rechargeable battery for my controller is no longer charging after less than 3 months since its purchase AND the purchase of my xbox series s. So, everything is still pretty new. The USB-c wire works fine. I haven't been overcharging the battery at all. So why has this thing already crapped out??

If you are looking for a rechargeable battery for your controller I would recommend getting an official play and charge kit.

I have been using the official Xbox One play and charge kit for quite a number of years and it's still holding its charge and working great, additionally I have just checked my play and charge kit and it says it's a 3V battery.

Thanks for your info, I will consider to purchase one of these play and charge kit.

Currently swapped to regular Lithium batteries. They do last much longer and the battery usage on screen are more stable.

NYKO batteries are good last longer than MS play and charge battery can get 24-36 hours on it something like that.

What type of batteries are you trying to charge? If it's rechargeable AA, then they cannot be charged in the controller. The only batteries that can be charged that way are the play and charge batteries. To charge AA batteries, you will need a separate
AA battery charger.

That would depend on the batteries. If they are standard AA batteries, recharagable or not, then they cannot be charged in the controller. Rechargable AA batteries need to be charged with an AA battery charger. The only battery that can be charged in the controller is the Xbox play and charge battery.
