No, that is completely correct. The purchased Season Pass for the 360 will carry over to the One, there is only one charge for the Season Pass. But to enjoy it on both platforms, you would need a copy of the game on each platform. Fortunately this and many
other cross generational games are offering an upgrade to the One version for $10 with trade-in of the 360 disc version. Also Activision is offering a dual- license digital version of Ghosts for $70 which covers both the 360 and Once versions - no trade-in
necessary.

If you want to resell your Xbox games, buy the disc version instead. It's that simple. I hope MS and Sony will eventually allow selling or trading of digital games. Seems like they will basically have to if they want people to switch. Until then though,
I'm not losing any sleep over it.

I still wouldn't go full on digital if they implemented one. Though the PS4 is looking rather anemic on the game front I still intend to get one if JRPGs start being exclusive to that platform again. I'd like to be able to trade a game in and get whatever
I want. Digital resales (at least in this form) wouldn't fit that criteria.

Just as a side note, piracy in gaming today isn't so black and white. It's a tricky issue to say the least. And it's hardly down to games being available on digital platforms, if anything the likes of Steam have shown to lower the rate of piracy due to its
overall service. You don't need digital distribution for piracy after all, you just rip the disc and upload. He'll, the DS is highly pirated thanks to the popular R4 cards. PSP wasn't far off either. And PC isn't unprofitable, obviously. It's overall sales
have gone up year by year. Thanks largely to digital platforms like Steam, GOG, GMG and so on.

Anyway, few thing have to happen for consoles to work as digital only platforms.

First being fast Internet access for everyone. This is just a matter of time.

Second, lower the price of the digital versions of games. This s something we should see but publishers will fight against for that extra profit for themselves.

Third is strong sales. We've seen what this has done for Steam.

Fourth, MS and Sony need a very reliable servers to Carr the burden of millions of user downloading games all at once. Even The best current digital platforms can have issues with this.

Something to replace the benefits of the trade in system for sed Ames. As I did as a kid and many, many still do, trading in old games to pay for the newest titles was nessesary. Having something to replace that balance in a digital ae would be amazing.

Instead of reselling maybe trading with a friend? You could trade a digital license to someone for less or equal value for one of their games. But there could be a limit on how many times your certain digital game could be traded. Otherwise somone could
trade a game then it could be passed through the community and only one person would ever pay for the game.
