    Plastic/electrical Burning smell from Xbox one X


    So i recently had a burning smell coming from my xbox after playing games for about 1 hour, i had this issue 8 months ago and sent my console back under warranty for repair, i thought the issue was fixed, but its come back after my warranty has expired
    any idea on how much it would cost for a repair?

    You can check on the options available for service at the Microsoft Device Support page ( devicesupport.microsoft.com ). For your safety, please unplug the device, and do not power it back on if you smell burning.

    If not already done so, register the console there.

    Then click on the registered console, and choose to start an online service request.

    Fill out the necessary forms, and in the end you'll see how much a replacement would cost you. Then you can still decide if you wish to continue with the repair or not.
