Plants vs Zombies now in EA vault

The main quote from him reads

"I think one of the key things is that once a game goes into the Vault it stays there, it's not going to be taken out, that's a commitment we've made."

 

It's not often I praise EA but got to say well done to them here.

Great value for money, when it started I traded my BF4 in which more than paid for a years sub plus all the extra games that come with it

 

I will be buying this pass, already played most the games in the vault though... Hope they add more games soon.

 

Do you get to keep the games you've downloaded once your subscription expires or is the EA Vault like Games With Gold on the Xbox One, where you lose access to them if you don't keep up your subscription?

I wonder how long it'll be before the other publishers get in on this action, with the Ubisoft Treasure Chest or Activision Lockbox.

 

You need an active sub to keep the games in your collection as far as I know. Also if developers do go down this route I don't see it as that bad a thing providing the price is reasonable. I would far rather pay £20 a year for 4 or 5 games than £40 each
release.

 

@Vaynel im guessing its like a sub service so once your sub is up you no longer have access to the games.

Would be great if other game companies went down the same road in my opinion and as for Plants V Zombies I think I will need to give it some more time but from what I played it just didn't do it for me!!

 

Its okay if you wanna wait 6 months to play a game. I couldnt imagine waiting for some games tho.

 

Thanks for the info peeps. I'm eyeing an Xbox One and was thinking this looked like a good deal.

I personally wouldn't mind waiting six months for a game if I am going to be able to access it as part of a subscription.

Given the amount of games EA pumps out a year then £20 for access to them all (eventually) is a small price to pay.

Then if I did like a title, I could go out and buy it. Which after six months or so would mean the price would have dropped. Win/win really.

 

Like some of the above, I traded in BF4 and got the 12 month sub.

Now I can trade in PvsZ and use the store credit towards Sunset Overdrive!! Happy days!!!

 

Definitely worth the £20 cost to say what is already in there.

 

Still in two minds about this. Its great for now but will i be using it in 6 months time is the question??

I like the vault but I own most of the games in it at the moment so when I wanted to play fifa early I just played the £4 and then If I wanted to play madden then I could of but didn't bother. I think i'll subscribe once theres two games I don't own but
didn't bother buying like Dragon Age and the next Battlefield.

 

Wonder when they will put FIFA 15 in...
