Plants Vs Zombies GW2 open beta

It occurred to me that the last time I played the beta, I never actually went into the multiplayer game itself - I just wondered around the amazingly huge menu screen and killed waves upon waves of enemies.

So, I took it upon myself to play the multiplayer last night and was surprisingly disappointed. Like someone said earlier, it seems way too chaotic and when I did get some action, it also seemed woefully unbalanced. Those zombie imps? They're tiny, mobile,
and hard-to-hit little buggers with really good guns and abilities and giant robot suits that make them even better!? ...and earning those suits doesn't even reset on death, ensuring that they always get it!!! Please, just no...

Because of this, I am now officially on the fence regarding whether nor not I will purchase this game at all - instead, I'm going to wait until it releases to see if balance changes will be put into full-effect. I don't really need tha Z7 mech anyways...

 

I tried the multiplayer finally as well. And you are right about those imps. Not only are they small and powerful. Hard to hit as well. But every time one would get close they would do that spinning and shooting ability and it was almost instant death.
Not to mention they seem to be taking low amounts of damage and can survive being hit by multiple plant players at the same time.

Overall the game seems fun but not so sure I am interested enough given the way some of the Zombies feel.

 

never noticed it being unbalanced but that could be because im rubbish at it anyway, fun game though

 

I may just keep on playing the original Garden Warfare - it's balanced perfectly as far as I'm concerned...

 

First one was great, really brought about a nice fresh experience, cant see the second one having as big of an impact but hope im wrong

 

Unless a game comes out with a completely new engine or something that basically retools the whole game, I kind of hate the whole sequel-itus that's been going around with all of the franchises.

I kind of wish they'd just release 1 game by the name of the marquee title and constantly update it with new features as time goes on so the game basically just grows and grows and grows - kind of like how World of Warcraft and, to a lesser extent, Killer
Instinct have been doing.

 

I finally got a chance to play the beta last night and I'm super pumped for the full release. I love the new characters however I still need to get a handle on the new abilities.

My biggest complaint from the first one is that I could never get a full party all on the same team. The ability to switch sides still exists but if the other side is already full you're out of luck. I thought maybe that would be addressed in the second
one but no such luck.

 

Regarding this Imp issue some are having.

When you hit level 8 or 9 (I cant recall), your zoom increases. This added with the Imps already low health (50) doesn't make it that big of a threat. And the pea shooter Gatling gun makes quick work of its mech.

 

I was using the chomper goop on the mech but it doesn't last long and you have to be close to take advantage of the effects. Not ideal.

I never hit 100 on the original pvz but maybe I have enough skips to jump to 100? Meh. The 313 reward sounds op. Hope I'm wrong lol.

 

Yeah,does sound op but 313 was the max level & I doubt many people got that high so shouldn't run into to many of those.

Think I got to about 110 so some nice goodies for me.
