    Plantronics Rig Microphone not working


    Hi I recently purchased a Plantronics rig 400pro head set, when i plug it into the controller i the mic didn't work i took it back and the shop replaced it.

    The new headset has the same issue.

    When i plug the headset in the mute button disappears and the head set icon appears, when i go to the party menu a warning appears that no microphone can be found but this quickly disappears.

    I have tried updating my controllers and have tried 2 different xboxes and 2 different xbox accounts and still no luck.

    Does anyone have any ideas on what it may be?

    Hey there theNWHC thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us.

    We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused but rest assured we are here to help, we have seen this in the past
    and since the issue could be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest a >Soft
    Factory Reset    <
    (while keeping games and apps)
    IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

    • There is a stable network connection.
    • The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)
    • Plug in the controller and headset for any available updates to go through and start meshing.

    Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup
    lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!

    When I look up the Plantronics RIG 100HX it is a gaming headset not just a microphone so it is picking up that you plugged in a headset and making an adjustment.

    Are you plugging in a gaming headset and only wanting the microphone to work on it?
