    Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat on Xbox One


    This is an old Xbox game from 2002 that never received backward compatibility for the Xbox 360. I hope this game can be made backward compatible for the Xbox One. What do you think?

    Pirate Games!

    IMHO, the best Pirates game was Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat. It was actually one of my favorite OXBox titles.

    The game was developed by Westwood studios which went defunct in 2003.

    When the developer no longer exist it will not be that easy to get the game to come to BC as the licence rights will need to be acquired first.

    Unless the publisher of the game has the rights which is EA games.

    I have never heard of this game so it might be a bit to obscure. I would guess the OG Xbox games are harder to make backwards compatible so they may not go for a lesser known title.

    It’s actually the publishers who give the approval, and it’s Microsoft who actually makes it BC.
