Pins loading slowly , In game manuals / Help not working. Slow overall system.

Hi guys / girls.

For the last 3 days my system is ( A ) loading Pins on startup slowly , sometimes taking up to 30 seconds. (B) In game Manuals / Help not working it simply wont connect anymore. (C) Overall system seems sluggish when trying too do anything that uses the
internet.

Connection is fine , Nat is Open. Really have no idea what has suddenly caused this. Had Microsoft support on the phone but he didnt know what to do and simply said leave it for 24 hours and contact us again if it is not fixes (lol).

My router is BT Homehub 4.

If anyone else is having similar issues or has any recommendations on what to do please reply.

I have hard reset , cleared cache etc already to no avail.

Xbox runs SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW...

I have a 250G slim, about 1.5 years old, and everything loads slowly or freezes while loading. Startup screen is slow, arcade games load slowly, menus load slowly, disc games are unplayable as they freeze while loading saved games. I have already cleared
the cache, and that was the only suggestion I could find anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I miss Skyrim.

my sons xbox one started loading games really slowly .. then it would only go on green xbox screen saying taking to long to load home screen.. now its not connecting at all .. can here the moter in it but sounds slow.. tried reboot but not working .. just

Hi Maxen yes that is what the Microsoft Employee on phone got me to do. I have just tried once more to load in game manual for UFC game demo just as a test and still comes up with error saying it took to long to respond and could not load help.

Have you tried a hard reset:

Hold power for 10 seconds until it turns off. When it turns off unplug all of your cords and reset your router. Then plug everything back in and see if that works.

 

It sounds like you've done all the basics then Daz and it may be time to head to the next level.

Networking issues can be complicated. NAT types especially can be deceiving. For instance just because the system tells you it's set to Open doesn't mean the door is wide open. You could still have some blocked ports or be behind a Cone NAT, things like
that. For further insights into that you can always call support again and talk to someone in Connectivity and let them know you're having networking issues and things are loading slow.

You could always go for the nuclear option as well and try setting your system back to factory defaults. It's a big move but I've seen it work many times in situations like this. It would of course mean having to reinstall your profile, games, and any
apps you've downloaded and setting all your preferences back up, but if it doesn't help improve things then you know for sure it's not a software based issue and must have something to do with either the hardware itself (about a 25% chance) or the network
(the other 75%).

I'd say give the restore a shot, Settings -> System -> Restore Factory Defaults. Let us know how it goes.

 

Hi Kobra yes he also got me to do that. After i had done both of them he decided he did not know the answer to the problem and told me too leave it for 24 hours then call them back. I can not understand the problem for the life of me.
