  1. Pinning apps to top of Xbox One UI

How do I pin my most used apps to the top of the Xbox One UI? It constantly shuffles and bumps my apps so I have to search around. I want to just boot up and select my app quickly. There's a pin area down somewhere around the middle but I don't want to
have to wade through pages of things I literally never use.

If this isn't possible on XBox, is it possible on Playstation? Not opposed to jumping ship.

    :)

Pinning apps to top of Xbox One UI

    Hi TheGreenOne503,

Thank you for contacting the forums. You can manually select games/apps through the Menu button (It is 3 lines on the right of your Xbox button) and place them into what is known as groups (or your pins). I would like you to read this

    article
on grouping your games and apps on Xbox One. It is also possible to rearrange your Xbox home screen, you can click on the View button (it is on the left of your Xbox button) to customize your blocks. From there you can move, add or delete blocks
to your liking. You may want to move your pins/groups to the top for easy access through the home screen.

    Pin/Unpin/Re-arrange apps

Are you referring to the apps on the Home tab or the Pins tab? To pin Internet Explorer, go to your My Games & Apps section, click the Menu button (the old Start button) and click Pin to Home. Any pinned apps will show on the Pins tab. To unpin an app, go
to the Pins tab, highlight that item, click the Menu button and select Unpin. The apps on the Home tab is more less recent history. On the Pins tab, the only re-arranging you can do (without un-pinning and re-pinning )is using the Move to Front option, which
will put the Front app in the upper right-hand corner. Probably the easiest way to do this is to create a list of the pinned apps you want (most important at the top, least important at the bottom), then using that list and going from bottom to top click each
app and select move to front. Once you are done the last one you Move to Front will be the top on on your list. Hope this helps!

    Micro stuttering UI!

I have noticed same slowdown/stuttering in main UI (while switching betweeen "pins<->home<->store" )

And no, it is not users job to reboot console every few days or shut down apps, Xbox one has "main UI" operating system that eats few gigs so it should do its JOB!

How to pin apps on the new xbox dashboard on the xbox home?

    Hi,

it is like it was before but you have only 2 groups left on the UI. So press the Start button on the app tile and add it to a group of your choice.

To find your other groups/pins press the Xbox button and find them under 'My games&apps'.

New XBOX One experience, I'm ready for it.

i watched the preview that Major Nelson did, i don't see how it is anything like the PS4 UI, but the only thing i didn't like was that you have to scroll down past the recent apps to get to the pins, but i hope that will at least enable more pins, i already
have to be selective with my pins because i have too many.
