    Ping Issues in Xbox Console Streaming


    Hello there, I'm from Italy and I've tried to play with the new game console feature but it says I've high latency (more than 125) but if I perform a speedtest I've like 20ms ping or so. How could I fix that if possible? Should I contact Microsoft?

    Speeds are way down

    Could you try and check Speedtest.net and pingtest.net and select a server near Seattle,WA to see what your ping is?

    It's best to check this on pc for the most accurate outcome, a high ping causes stuttering while streaming and could be the cause of the issues.

    I don't really have lag issues but I don't play a heap of multiplayer games.

    My issue is that the new console streaming feature won't install without a ping of under 120. You don't get the chance to even test it. Hopefully something will change in the beta.

    have the same issues since the latest insider update.

    Stream get's disconnected constantly as well.

    - I have a PING between my laptop and Xbox and that keeps going. No high pings (e.g. <2ms)

    - No other streams or network activity

    - Wired connections to both (Laptop & Xbox)

    - All windows updates and store updates are up-to-date

    - Tried the Xbox Beta App; same issue (beta app is lower version nowdays than regular app by the way)

    - Changed quality (very high to high to regular/medium)

    running out of troubleshooting options and blaming the insider update.

    is it possible to roll back the preview update on xbox?

    Question about speeds needed for smooth multiplayer experience.

    its about the ping... not the speed.. at least for playing... for DLing and streaming.. that is when the speed counts but for normal gameplay.... you do not need much..

    but yeah... that ping is a tad high

    do a speedtest.net test.. not the internal Xbox one...

    Xbox 360 continually disconnects from Xbox Live while using the Netflix app

    If have a ping running in the background, on your PC, whilst streaming Netflix from your Xbox, does it report any lost packets at that same time as when you get disconnected from Live?

    Use -t to loop the ping command and Ctrl + C to abort.
