Ping issue with xbox live

Is anyone havein the same problem that i am having with xbox live? I have been getting real bad pings to your server. I have changed DNS and that is all good to Google Open DNS Cloudflare and they all ping between 15-35, ping xboxlive and ping across the board is 165-185 ( Unaccepable no router involved with concetion to xbox. ping my ips provider all good.

No change with either using wired vs wireless same problem

This is all over the board will post ping results

this was just done as of 3/5/2025 time 11:20 am mst

So as you can see there is a problen going to your server please fix

this really affects Latency which has a constant of 65-79

There isn't a problem here. Firstly, you're not pinging the game service, you're just pinging a website (Xboxlive.com). I don't know what the IP address for the gaming service is and it could be different based on your actual geographic location.

Secondly, and more importantly, ping isn't all about speed, it's also about distance. PING is the time data takes to go out and come back. If you're located hundreds or even thousands miles from where you're trying to ping, the result will be high, it won't matter how fast your connection is.

Also, Microsoft doesn't host many games. The game publisher does. It won't matter what your ping to Xbox is.

Yeah I'm getting the issue too. Live connection issue. I've done all TS with my router and modem. So I go to cmd.exe. Ping google.com fine, ping xbox.com all connection times out. Connect anywhere else in the world, fine, xbox....nope.

Designate a backup during game start? It isn't seamless, but it can keep a game going.

No one said there were no Live-side server dependencies, just that once a game is started there's no "routing through" MW3 servers.

this goes back to point one that I made. It does not. It actually looks for Players with very poor Ping if a Player has a very good Ping Rate.

[/quote]It's not just you. Everyone has good and bad games. It's the nature of Online Gaming, some good games, some bad games. Just deal with it and accept it for what it is. Here's a good Video that demonstrates a little in regards
