    made an xbox account on pc as im about to play the game pass on pc; when i login into my app tho; it asks for a pin which i never made on. How did i get a pin if i made this account on a website, not on an actual xbox? because the instructions to reset a pin is only for xbox users

    Pin issue

    What you will need to do is to Delete your Gamertag. When you go to do that there will be a Window that will comes up with two options you will need to choose the First Option. You will then need to Recover your Gamertag and for this you will need your
    Windows Live ID and Password to recover the Gamertag that you forgotten the Pin Code for. When you have done this the Code will be removed and you will be able to login as normal. Hope this Helps

    That is probably the Windows Hello PIN. You can safely disable it:

    - Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Input options.

    - Scroll down to the option "Require Windows Hello Sign In for Microsoft Accounts" and set it to disabled.

    - On the Windows Hello PIN (above), click on remove. This will remove any PIN saved on Windows Hello for the account.

    - If it asks for a password, confirm your Microsoft account password.

    - Restart your computer.

    I can confirm this issue. Smart glass shows the correct pins, but the console pins go missing.

    I’ve had my entire pin section disappear before. It seems your pins are tied to your XBL account (no idea why) instead of local. Any time there’s sporadic issues with XBL I can usually assume I’ll have pin issues.
