Picture keeps blinking, audio is uninterrupted

I originally posted this in the 360 support section yesterday, but I have yet to get a response. So, I'm reposting it here, because I am stumped.

Last night, while watching Netflix, the picture kept blinking off. While the picture was blinking off, I could still hear the audio from the show I was watching. I thought that maybe it was just a Netflix issue, so I went to the dashboard but the problem didn't
go away. I turned the Xbox off last night and went to bed, but when I turned it back on a few minutes ago, the problem came back. I reseated the component cables at both ends and the picture is still blinking.

Today, I went to the display settings and selected 1080p. The problem went away for a few hours but it's back. Can someonehelp me resolve this issue?!

Hello Dquan87,

I'm sorry to hear that can you give me a little more information about your set top box and when this is happening.

You mentioned it's FIOS could you tell me who the manufacturer of the box is and what the model is? This information is sometimes on the front but can usually be found on the back of the box.

As far as blinking is this happening only when you change channels or all the time and does it go away after about 20 seconds or does it continue happening?

I suggest you look at the settings menu for your FIOS box and see what the resolution/display option is set to. If it says something like native or auto-switching try changing it to whatever resolution you normally watch TV at 1080,720, etc. and see if this
fixes your issue.

When I first turn on the console and the tv the LIVE TV picture blinks non stop the only way to fix this is to unplug the HDMI cable and replug it in but once I turn the tv or console off I must re-do this why is that?

I have FIOS if this helps.

Also the picture is small how do you resize the frame?

I gather you have your console connected via an HDMI cable?

Always best to start with the simplest things first, so have you tried another HDMI cable. Cables can develop faults.

Then try the console connected to the TV through another HDMI input (as most TVs tend to have 3 or 4 HDMI inputs)

Then try the console connected to a different TV.

The above is just a simple method to find out exactly where the problem is.

MY display turns on and off or stays off. It crashes on netlix and games. This started after the system crashed after I removed a game disc that had no way to exit. I tried resetting by turning off and pressing the eject button and all that as well as unplugging
the power cord and leaving off. I also restored to factory settings but when i tried to watch tv it crashed while installing that app.

I have the same setup as Devlor. Vizio TV and I have a Comcast/Motorola cable box. Can't watch TV through the Xbox One, but if I hook the Cable Box directly to the TV, no problem. I've tried all the things suggested here, no such luck.

Just a constant blinking. I'd be willing to troubleshoot through with Microsoft if they want. But at this point, this feature does not work for me.

I have the same problem as Devlor

Provider: Atlantic Broadband

DCX-3400-M Cable Box

It works fine for about 2 seconds after either cycling power to the cable box or the Xbox one, then it starts blinking and the picture goes away. Sometimes the audio stays when it starts blinking sometimes it does not. Also I am going out of the Xbox One
and going into an Onkyo receiver, but I have tried plugging the TV directly into the Xbox and bypassing the receiver with the same results.
