Picture for my 360 is no longer showing up on my tv (HDMI)

This may not be an issue with the HDMI cord. Have you tried another TV?

I have the same issue and it just started after working fine for 3 days. My TV feed pauses for seconds - minutes then starts back up. It also will start saying that the tv is unplugged from the X1. I do the troubleshoot and it says the HDMI is not connected...is
connected.. not connected and the whole time no picture comes on so I can not hit the NEXT button. I waited more than 12 secs like it says. I waited 1 hour and no picture came on. I have disconnected the HDMI from the X1 and ran it straight from the cable
box (CB) to my TV (TV) (IM OCD) and it runs without any pauses or stutters. I have tried over 7 HDMI cables that I know work on my 360 to the TV and my CB to my TV. Also when I connected my 360 to the X1 HDMI in port I could not play my 360. It showed up
for a minute in the X1 home but my 360 controller could not do anything to my 360. that was showing on the X1. I switched inputs on my sound system and a movie was running on my 360 because the buttons had worked. I think the HDMI In port is faulty. It
feels loose like there was a bad solder. I could fix it myself but I am not faulting my warranty. I am sending mine back unless a rep can walk me through a solution. Hope this helps others. If not please use my ramblings for your own amusement. But please

I had a similar issue with my first 360 and an older TV. The VGA, while providing better color the picture was more grainy that with the component video. I ended up upgrading the 360 to HDMI when it was available and used a lower resolution on the TV (from
1080 to 720p) and I received a better picture. I have found older TV's to be more finicky. My guess is that it is probably time to update your television.

I used my fat 360 hooked up via HDMI to a 720p set and had no picture problems at all in fact I have my new slim 4gb hooked up to the same TV and same cable and looks the same visually.

I don't know which Xbox 360 you have, but I have the Slim and on the Slims (I'm not sure if this is the same for the Phat Xbox 360s as well), the Xbox 360 console will not startup or login or display a picture until the TV is on and a solid display connection
is verified. My guess is that it may be your console not accepting signals from certain TVs that its on and accepting the HDMI picture. Again, this is a guess, because maybe the TV not showing a picture has a bad HDMI port or something like that. I would go
to your console, put the display settings on something totally random and different from what you usually have, and then test your console again (maybe with a different HDMI cable) on the TV you want and then tell us what happened. If the problem still persists,
maybe your console has to be repaired?
