Picture blacks out for a second every couple seconds

I had this exact issue when I upgraded my Monitor to a 4k Monitor. I was using the wrong HDMI cable, and every now and again the picture would just go black for no reason, the sound was there but now picture, it returned after 2 or 3 seconds. All this
happened because I replaced the HDMI cable that came with my One X for another 4k HDMI cable. The problem was rectified once I put the original cable back onto my One X. Not sure if you are using the HDMI lead that came with your Console or not, if you are

Thanks for the reply. I understand there is an issue with a black screen. To help clarify the issue more:

• Do you have the console plugged into the wall outlet?
• Do you receive an error message?
• Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

Since the issue only happens when a discs load, have you tried a
soft factory reset (Keep my games & apps)? This helps refresh the operating system of the Xbox One.

Try this out and let us know the results.

The only accessory is an external hard drive The screen is fine at the home screen and app screens. The only issues are when a disc is loaded and trying to work

Called support. Unplugged tv, cable box, and xbox for two minutes. Turned everything on to load. And it actually solved the problem. Hope this helped guys
